Leadership Team

Forbes9Pat and Theresa Forbes serve as the senior leaders at Covenant Family Church.  They have four daughters, three sons-in-law, and seven grandchildren.  Pat and Theresa enjoy spending time with their family, and especially look forward to times when everyone is able to be together. They moved to Mankato in 2002 to pastor Covenant Family Church, and have a desire to see God transform the lives of people in this city.  They have a real-life, practical approach to seeing people walk in all that God has for them.  Isaiah 61:1 is one of their favorite scriptures: “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”

West10Tim and Becky West serve on the leadership team at Covenant Family Church, and bring encouragement wherever they go!  They have two sons and eight grandchildren, but also have both Tim’s mother and Becky’s parents living with and near them.  They value family relationships, and have a desire to see families function the way God created them to.  Tim and Becky enjoy spending time working on projects that allow their creativity to flow; with Becky specializing in anything arts and crafts and Tim focusing on construction.  Their favorite scripture is Romans 15:6, “…that we may with one mind and one mouth glorify God.”

PG 7- editedPhil and Gena Hernandez serve on the leadership team at Covenant Family Church.  They moved to Mankato in 1994, because they felt God leading them to return to the Midwest from Washington.  They have four children, one son-in-law, one grandson and have a desire to see the next generation follow hard after God.  Both Phil and Gena work in the medical field, and take advantage of opportunities God gives them to share their faith and offer peace to people who are struggling with health issues.  One of their favorite scriptures is in Proverbs: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
